I've learned to stand up all by myself and have mastered a new way of crawling that doesn't involve using my shirt as a dust mop. Mom and Dad think I don't know anything about Christmas, but my kid friends have filled me in and it sounds GREAT. Just a little over a week to go...

It's been getting darker and colder here, but I've been staying busy working on my vocabulary ("Mama") and sign language ("Hi").

Here I am in my Carhartts, at the request of (my biggest fan) Ant Amanda. Ant June is taking me on a walk to the Spit today so Mom and Dad said I better dress warm.

I am having such a good day today - hanging out with Mom, Dad, and The Dogs. Soon I'll be on a plane to see my family in Oregon, so I've been perfecting my loud screaming vocalizations in preparation.

Dogs

The dogs and I have recently become good friends. It turns out we have similar interests (eating, sleeping, going for walks) and I have a feeling they will come in handy to share the blame when things start turning up broken.

Here I am now - sitting up like a big boy and hanging out in my backpack. Can you believe how big I'm getting? Nurse Julie says I'm already more than TWICE the size I was when I was born (14 lbs 3 oz!) and I'm bigger than 90 out of 100 kids my age. Not bad for starting out as such a little shrimp...

Got milk?

Just cheeking (oops, I mean checking) in to tell you I'm 4 months old today and getting stronger all the time. I can hold my head up by myself now and am really close to rolling over. Grandma and Grandpa Stuart came for a visit and we had lots of fun. The dogs and I are trying to pool our money together so they can come back and spoil us again soon...

I have recently made a great discovery: these things at the end of my arms called hands. I can use them to grab and to hold things and they are also quite tasty to suck on when I can't find my binky. Another new development is that Mom has seen me laugh 3 different times now. Dad isn't sure he believes her so I'll have to prove it to him one of these days. If only he had better jokes...

So after spending the day together today, just me and him, Grandpa said it was time for him to go back to a place called The Suburbs. It's sad he had to go - I really liked the way he rocked me to sleep (something he calls "the leg treatment") and he made sure I got my fair share of milkshakes. Mom and Dad say I have his eyes and Grandpa says I've got some real Charisma. I hear more Grandparents will be here soon. I can't wait!

Today's checkup

Hello fans!
Here's a picture of me getting ready to go into town today with my pet mouse from ant Amanda. I went out to lunch with mom and dad at a great little deli called Panerelli's. (Some of you have eaten there before and your mouths are probably watering, just reading this.) Then mom took me to my "well baby" check where I was weighed (10 lbs 2 oz!) and measured (22 and 3/4") and got 3 shots (ouch!).
Finally it's starting to warm up and mom and dad say some of you will be visiting soon. I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys! Love, Hudson

Happy B-Day Grandma

Grandma wanted another picture of me, so I got the rents to take this one. I'm looking pretty good, if I do say so myself. Now I just want this cold weather to go away so I can get outside and start my stellar golf career.

I'm 3 weeks old today!
Things are pretty good here. I like my house WAY better than the hospital and I really like my big bed where I sleep with mom and dad. They try sometimes to put me in a little bed all by myself, but I'm too smart to fall for that...
I like to cuddle with mom and, when I'm not hungry, with dad. Dad and I do guy stuff like watch sports and fall asleep in front of the TV.

I'm here

I'm finally home after about a week at the hospital. So far so good. The dogs have licked my toes and I'm getting plenty of sun. See ya round.
